The Baby

He sleeps so soundly.

His little face on the pillow.

His little body curled up tight.

The hint of a smile on his face

From the days pleasures.

His tiny fingers clasped in prayer

Tucked under his head.

The fuzz of his hair sticking out.

The love of a mother's touch

Quilted into his blanket.

The clothes of his father's design

Hung loosely around his body.

The color of the rainbow

Swinging above his head.

A symbol of love, innocence

And peace
